I went looking for fic out of curiosity last night and was delighted to find smutty OT3 fic! This is awesome, and Darryl's part is delightfully him as well.

Acceptance by cuethe_pulse (Kurt/Puck, PG)
This is a quiet, understated fic where Kurt and Puck quietly come to an appreciation of each other. It's really nicely done, and I love the final scene.

Puck and Kurt Kissed by pada_something (Kurt/Puck, PG)
This fic is adorable, showing all of the Glee Club's members reactions to the sudden news that Kurt and Puck have kissed. This leads, of course, to a debate over who seduced who.

Lost
Longing by raikune (Esau/Jacob, G)
This pairing is one of my favourites from this show, and there is not enough fic out there for it (and, I know, I should help to fix that by writing some myself). This is a short ficlet that shows the sense of magnetism between the two mysterious characters. There's a real sense of how dangerous/creepy they both are. I loved it!

This is a coda to 2x04. While this is an Arthur/Merlin fic, the reason I'm reccing it is actually because of Gwen's characterisation. Gwen kicking major ass? Frickin' awesome.

^^ I just spent the whole day writing up what I want to say in my presentation on Tuesday about homosexuality in the early modern period. It's about 2000 words, which is about what I was aiming for. Now, tomorrow, I just need to make up my powerpoint slides for it and then PRACTICE LIKE MAD. I kept giggling at random points when I was writing it. I need to numb myself to the material so I don't do that in front of everyone!

granny's funeral

So, it was my granny's funeral today. Very quiet, emotional affair. It's the first time I've ever seen my dad crying - he held it together throughout the whole ceremony, then I went to hug him afterwards and he broke down. My grandad seemed surprisingly okay, actually, which was a surprise. It feels so bizarre to see him without my granny at his side. They met during WW2 and had been married since 1948. That's pretty much mind-blowing.

This fic is fantastic! I could see it in my mind playing out like a real episode of Friends; the tone was wonderful. If Mohinder had ever popped into the Friends universe, it would have been exactly like this.

Downpour by slightlytookish (Gwen, Merlin, G)
If Gwen/Merlin was any more adorable I think I would die from suffocation because of the extra-long "awwww" I would let out. This is a short scene about them getting caught in the rain together.

This is a really rather sweet look at Arthur's feelings about Merlin's devotion to him.

Supernatural
Words and Hands by entangled_now (Dean/Castiel, PG-13)
I usually don't read Supernatural fic, but I really enjoyed this one. Dean and Castiel's friendship is so interesting on the show and this fic pushes it a little bit further. It shows Castiel showing Dean a few more tricks for dealing with angels. The dialogue is wonderful.

Oh my gosh, the teacher appeared and was ONCE AGAIN a glorious bitch for absolutely no reason. And, srsly, calling a parent-teacher conference after three days of school?! Clearly he had just broken the spirit of ALL THE STUDENTS in the school already and needed fresh meat to tear into.

The whole show continues to be terrible. When Angst Girl and Eyebrow Vampire were going on about how "epic" their conversations were, me and Eva were yelling at the screen to correct them. Sadly, they would not listen to us.

One of the amusing things about the show is its absolute lack of even pretending to have a plot. I mean, what on earth was this episode about, other than angsting teens? They seemed to be pretending to have a shadow of a plot with the whole comet thing, but then didn't bother to do anything with it.

We also watched Fringe tonight (AWESOME AND AWESOME AND AWESOME), and Supernatural, which was also hilariously bad. Then Eva showed me and episode of Strangers with Candy, which was really funny.

Oh my gosh, our boys are ADORABLE, and especially so in this fic. What's the only thing that could make George and Mitchell any sweeter? The addition of doughnuts, of course. The banter between them here is lovely.

I don't know enough about art to be able to say much about this, but I really like the look of this portrait of George.

Separate by telperion_15 (George/Mitchell, PG)
One of my favourite things about George is his way of viewing the wolf as entirely separate from himself - I think it's bound to cause him all kinds of anguish in the future. This fic looks at what else might be separate for him. It's a really good POV, and I especially like his thoughts on Mitchell at the beginning.

The House on Brecken Hill by entangled_now (George/Mitchell, PG-13)
entangled_now always does such a lovely job with capturing the show's banter, and this fic is no exception. George and Mitchell end up lost and taking refuge in a creepy house.

Memory Is Just One Piece of Dan's Puzzle by mollivanders (Daniel/Charlotte, PG)
Daniel's POV is one of the hardest things about writing Lost fic for me, so I absolutely take my hat off to those who manage it well. It's done with wonderful style in this fic, which is a perfectly fragmented take on Daniel's state of mind pre-island.

The City Sun Sets Over Me by slybrunette (Michael/Sun, PG-13)
Michael/Sun is one of those pairings that I wish had been explored a little bit more on the show. It's looked at marvellously here, with slybrunette depicting them in several different timelines. Well worth a read.

The Substance of Things Hoped For by aboutbunnies (Boone/Shannon, PG-13)
I love afterlife fic, especially in the Lost fandom where the show has a nasty habit of killing all the best characters off. In this short ficlet, Shannon's POV comes across really well.

Candyman by digitalshrine (Arthur/Merlin, fanvid)
I don't watch a lot of fanvids, but this one caught my eye. It's very cute, set to Candyman by Christina Aguilera.

Ordinary by issahime (Gwen/Will, G)
I had never considered Gwen/Will as a pairing before, but this short ficlet made me wonder why it had never crossed my mind. That's the mark of a good rare pair fic, I think. It makes it seem very natural, showing them in the canon setting and then in a potential AU future.

Morgana with a tattoo on her chest. The very idea of it is nearly enough to melt my brain, and this fic completely delivers. It's gorgeous.

Mmmm, this pairing is utterly delicious - I sometimes have to remind myself that it isn't actually canon. This is the author's first trip into Lost fanfic, so I would definitely tell people to head over there and make her feel welcome.

streamers and gauze by bebitched (Claire/Kate, PG)
This author is more or less my go-to-girl when it comes to Lost femmeslash these days. This is a short and adorable ficlet which is a snapshot of what life could be like raising Aaron together for Claire and Kate.

Temptation by janie_tangerine (Boone/Jacob, PG)
If anyone was going to be able to pull this pairing off, it was definitely going to be Janie. She does it in style: there's a reason she's my Boone-girl. This is wonderfully characterised, and the dream sections feel perfect. It's a fic wherein Boone dreams of the island and Jacob long before he winds up there, and it helps to make sense of Boone's fate for me.

This fic is really cute. Arthur tries to get Merlin to do some dirty talking. Merlin's not very good at it. I often find that dirty talk tends to fall flat when I'm reading it in a fic, which makes this fic especially awesome because it plays with that.

Squeeeeee! Janie wrote Kevin/Sawyer! And this is brilliant, so brilliant. Having them playing I Never is delicious, and what I really love about this fic is actually all the lead up to their first 'real' meeting. It feels completely right and natural.

The First Time She by demonqueen666 (Kate/Kevin, PG)
This fic is rot-your-teeth cute, showing us the first meeting between Kate and Kevin. Kate is so IC to me, and Kevin is a total sweetie. With a first meeting like this, it's no surprise that Kate wanted to try and settle down for taco nights.

Ha! I don't know if this is 'fic' as such, but I am reccing it here anyway because it is awesome. Each and every single one of these is now a part of my personal Sawyer canon.

Five Kisses That Paved Morgana's Path to Hell by oltha_heri (Morgana/Arthur, Morgana/Uther, Morgana/Mordred, Morgana/Merlin and Morgana/Gwem, PG-13)
I've read so many fics with the '5 Things...' format that I'm rather done with them for the time being, but even so this one sticks out as being incredibly good. I love Morgana, and I love the darkness and tragedy that waits for her in the future. It's incredibly sad, and this fic walks with her through that future. Really quite sad.

As a general rule, I don't read RPS. This isn't out of any judgement of those who do; it's just because I've never been interested enough in any real people to want to. Then I saw some McFly RPS being recced on crack_van. Gosh, this is pretty! And hot! And did I mention the pretty? I love how Tom's scattered thoughts are presented throughout this fic.

Well, I put off reccing this until all ten parts were posted, but if you have any sense you'll have read it already! Lenina gets Kate in a way that I don't think even the writers of the show do - she writes her in a way that feels so real and understandable. This fic is listed as Kate/Richard, but even if the pairing does nothing for you I'd push you towards it as an outstanding piece of Kate fic.

Dream It So by emei (Hunith/Morgana, R)
I read this fic because the pairing sounded interesting, and I have to say that it drew me in. Future fics of Morgana are a favourite of mine, because she's got such a rough road ahead of her. I really like the way that this writer handles it and I think she manages to portray the pain that Morgana would be in incredibly well, as she leaves Camelot and seeks refuge with Merlin's mother.

Kirk Can't Wait To Be Captain by rei17 (Fanvid - Kirk, PG)
LOL! I Just Can't Wait To Be King from the Lion King is so Kirk's themesong! Hee!

I really like fics that manage to show a canon ex without making them into a cackling witch. In this short ficlet, Jocelyn - McCoy's ex-wife - is presented as a really sympathetic character, as a wife drifting apart from her husband in an all too human way.

Ruffles and Flourishes by oxymoronic (Kirk/Chekov/McCoy, very NC-17)
My notes for this fic on delicious are "OH JESUS LORD FUCK THIS IS HOT" and I don't really know how to put it better than that! I have such a secret kink for double-penetration in threesome fics and this one does it brilliantly, with the beginning sections being really cute and entertaining as well!
